KIDS, INTERNATIONAL AND CHRISTMAS COOKERY FEATURE IN ART OF CUISINE CLASSES
Dunedin’s new demonstration cookery kitchen has released its program until the end of the year with a focus on international food, the addition of kids and Christmas classes.
Since opening in the middle of this year, Art of Cuisine has become popular with the city’s foodies, with its two two-hour demonstration cookery classes capped at 20 people. This gives guests the opportunity to clearly see techniques, ask questions and interact with the chef. Classes include recipes, tastings of dishes and finish with tea, coffee and cake.
Art of Cuisine owner Perina Robinson says highlights on the new programme include; ‘Kids In The Kitchen’ for children between 8 and 12, teaching them lunch and dinner dishes they can create for family. Thai, Spanish and modern British cuisine are all new additions to the programme.
Petrina has added lunchtime classes in the lead up to Christmas, saying there’s demand for an alternative to the workplace pub lunch to celebrate the end of year. Chef Aidan Dickson who specialises in using locally sourced ingredients will create dishes which will be perfect for entertaining the crowds over the summer, then guests get to enjoy them with a glass of wine.
